think that this post makes since, but I do not agree with what he is saying about places not being what they seem and Alameda soon turning out like Oakland. Jesse said that Oakland started out nice and then turned bad, and that Alameda will do the same. I did some reading on Wikipedea, and I do not believe that this is the case. Here is what happened that turned Oakland into a dangerous place:



During World war two there was high demand for war supplies. As a result manufacturing jobs quickly appeared all around the country. One place where manufacturing became very successful was Oakland California.

At the same time this was happening, many African Americans in the south, in order to escape oppression, moved to these places that offered these factory jobs requiring little mental skill (Southern Africans were for the most part uneducated because of the poor quality of black schools).

These manufacturing jobs did not last long though. After the war there was no need for excess supplies. This caused the jobs to disappear along with the richer people of Oakland (mostly white). This period of time where whites left the poorer cities was known nationally as the White Flight.

So i will agree with what Jesse is saying this make sooo much sense you don’t even know how much. Alameda is now a nice place or i should say a decent place. Since their are many things that happen in alameda that is not okay. if you mean to say that alameda is so safe then why didn’t it make to the safest places to live? the closet place around here, close to alameda county 94601-94501 is San Jose. San Jose used to be #1 in the country the safest place and this year recent it dramatically changed and lost its place in first going down three levels until now becoming 4th in the country. San Jose changed because of its neighbors and where it is, its location and its nearby towns. Many things travel and go throught to neighboring places. The amount of people and what they do will spread and go to places near it. all the gangs go looking for new places that are near to find and create territory and soon the rival gangs find out and they try to find and take that land as well. The battle begins, there is shootings and the end deaths as well.


Even though alameda is an okay in the safe category it is missing some major parts and keys that end up making a very successful place to live their without anything to worry about. Since alameda is so suburban and small it lacks many many things. For example, alameda does not have a freeway. It doesn’t run through a place where there could be a freeway. When there is a major earthquake or event crisis how are alameda people going to leave? O wait they cant since that have to cross the bridge to be able to get on a freeway, or go through a tunnel. Alameda not only lacks a freeway but also many necessities that are needed to make it a very good place to live. People in alameda always have to cross and go somewhere else to find resources such as a Wal-Mart.

LCD discussion #3

The discussion was a success in the way that it helped and contributed to helping people further understand their  thoughts an concepts. The discussion began with my thoughts ad how the book completely changed and became a whole another story. My group members reacted and explained their thoughts with points, situations and quotes from the story. One of the things that we were explaining and discussing included the thought and the feelings that the book gave such as the topic of teachers in their own little world. Mercedes had interesting facts proving our thoughts and backing it up to a point where it became incredibly clear that in the story and in real life people the teachers in high schools don’t give importance and are very gullible. Teachers don’t notice the acts and the students  give up to build an impression and hide what they are feeling. Many people in life hide themselves and their feelings to give an impression of who they really are.

We began to bring al of the thoughts and the compile them into this conversation with the spectrum of feelings that it gave to people about school. School is like to door to everything wrong that happens to many people. In the way that people, are bullied, killed, harassed, hiding from parents. Schools are also a place where people can act up and do whatever they would like, people abuse the rules. Lastly, the teachers do not do anything. Do teachers drive and help the bullies. I have seen and in the discussion I learned of stories where the teachers witness things where people get hurt and they don’t act to help or to stop it in any way. How can this change as a group we weren’t able to come up with  solution.

The end of the book in the last paper clip there was a change in the way that Melinda acted and represented herself to people. Melinda began to grow courage and power to be able to stand up for herself and speak of hat she was really feeling and what she thought of people that spoke to her, spoke in any way that was directed to her etc.

I am shocked. If anything, Alameda is the coolest place to be …


… (My dad works in Oakland and he has seen people get shot but he loves it there and he says he would not want to work anywhere in the world but in Oakland but you do not see him talking trash about Alameda.)

I want to re4spond and talk about Rokhsor thoughts and views on what Aleah was saying. I mean everything and different places have different things that they have an offer to a community and the people living their. Everything has different views because of the position that they stand. For example, even though Oakland may have danger doesn’t any other places have them as well?

We began talking about this after our discussion in a way talking about how there is so many middle age creeps in alameda that just stare and like stalk people in harassing ways. I have heard more than 15 people personally state and also defend this argument. In the morning in the discussion one of the peers that I was talking to brought a new fact to my attention. They explained how recently there has been a cluster of registered offenders living around Alameda high? How safe could that be, being completely surrounded by registered offenders. The person also brought to my attention that the alameda police was asking about a close neighbor who happened to be an offender. Another person living in alameda also mentioned to me that they too had more than one offender in less than a ¼ mile radius of their house and how they witnessed and were also questioned about that person who was arrested for a DUI violation. I mean I do not know that I have not seen or witnessed this because where I live. I found there is no close offenders until about a 5 mile radius of me.

Defending Oakland, in its own way it is productive in ways which there is many variety and diverse population living in Oakland. And oo yeah who has a WAL-MART, ZOO, and like Bart? Ooo yeah Oakland does and alameda doesn’t!

Speak, 2nd LCD

This new discussion was a new start and a place to be able talk about the thoughts of the story characters connections and things that would help us to be able to comprehend things in the book and express our feelings hidden inside us. This new recent lit circle discussion was more of a success compared to the one that we had done in the past. Even though, this discussion was still started by me once again just like one, it was more intuitive and the flow began to run through the conversation. The conversation that I started began explaining about how the book began to reveal more in dept action/ conflicts, thoughts, and feelings that the character revealed through her actions. Some of parts of the conversation included the fact that many people not only in novels but also in life are ignored and try to find a way out of that by acting a totally different way than what they did before. People change because they try to hide things they do not want people to see. That topic was most of the majority of the conversation.


This discussion varied from the first since their were now more people being physically active and participating in it, rather than having a few or selective amount of group, people or cluster from the group. I enjoyed this Lit Circle discussion more than the first since I literally heard the sides and point of views of different people’s in different perspective about one topic. The conversation led to many small but very interesting views that played a big part in the book itself but also in society and a basic human society’s life. The connections and opinions sparked in the conversation, the whole conversation flowed smoothly throught the time. The conversation even began to get intense in some parts, some people stood on different sides but we were able to overlook the whole thing and were able to accept both views. I also really liked how we were able to get the attention of Mr. Sutherland and we asked him a question that was answered truthfully!

ASTI; Jerseyfied/ Jersey Shore

I am responding to karens blog post avout jersey I couldnt agree more!

I just had to blog about this! This show is one of the best shows on television! It’s so funny and a great way to pass time. I personally love it so much. I’ve learned so much from it. The reason I love it so much is because of the characters, they couldn’t have picked better characters than them.



My least favorite one is Angelina,I mean she’s pretty but she’s a two faced,shit starting type of person. She always tried to get the others to turn on each other and fight. I’m not that into the Situation because he’s old,creepy,and to cocky. He always took off his shirt, I was like no boo put it back down ain’t no one wana see that sorry. Ronnie cheated on his girlfriend and didn’t deserve a second chance and he put his hand up to a woman that is not cute! Sammie I wasn’t all that into her because she’s too dramatic and emotional and claimed that most females are fake that’s why she doesn’t have a girl best friend. I dislike her because she forgave Ronnie and started hating on Jwow.


Jersey shore is just one of things that mostly 99.9% of the people in the whole wide world like! the show is awesome and shows peoples true personalities and how they act. Even though, there has only been two seasons everyone loves is and is waiting for the new season to be shown in television (P.S it has already been taped in JERSEY and is ready to come on, on TV!) everything is going soo well for the crew on that show! Everyone loves them except for like Angelina and the situation. Everyone in schools love them! For example, Cameron began school and now occasionally yells and screams like Pauly D (who has like a problem controlling himself and shouting things, it becomes apparent throughout the seasons), Ronnie, Vinny “the cabs r hea!”, “its t_ shirt time” etc. and making my word trenade popular which has some jersey shore incorporated! Those are just some small parts on how Jersey shore has spread at A.S.T.I, but theirs waaaay more!

(and Karen remeber dont go near angelina, "the Staten Island ferry" because "everybody gets a ride and it's free" - The situation. Even though, its free dont go near it!)

1st Lit Circle Discussion post

The book began with many questions and uncut ends to thoughts given to the reader about what the book is about. The book began to reveal background explaining the story with vivid and strong details. In the story, there was a mix of many quotes, thoughts to self, and ideas in everyone’s perspectives. The book came on and stuck to me, since it gave the impression of what a normal high school in the country would seem to be. The high school in the story has it is making having similar to the other schools, having the components of the jocks, bookworms, cheerleaders/popular, outcast etc.


The conversation/ Lit Circle Discussion began with one person beginning it and then the others conversing and building on what with their perspective was. I began the Lit Circle Discussion by stating some of the main point of what the story was showing and demonstrating on an overall level. I began the whole conversation with stating how the main character that the story revolved around on how they acted and the reason that I believed they acted like that. To back up my thoughts and opinions I had many choices to be able to show to my Lit Circle partners. From those they included many quotes and small sections and paragraphs in some of the main parts in the big important Chapters.

The discussion went well in the thought that the people who had something important to say about what they saw and noticed were able to discuss and express it to get there point through. At one point in the whole discussion, the talking was focusing more on specific people. Another thing that the discussion had was a thought and feeling of some people being scared or ashamed of what they thought or had in mind about the book. One specific person was beginning to close about their thoughts without saying a word. As a group we tried to encourage and help the person to be able to get there point across. The point became semi accomplished in the way that the person explained their that about our specific citing in the book. Even though, as a group we would have liked to encourage more self-thoughts, inferences and connections the point was that people participated.

KITE RUNNER BOOK REVIEW

The most shocking and appalling things happen in the book, many situations that leave people wanting more information, but makes them want to close the book at the same time because the information. The Fiction Novel, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini takes place in Kabul Afghanistan in the middle of a battle between the Shi’a and the Hazaras. Baba a Shi’a one of the richest people in Kabul takes in Ali and his son Hassan, a childhood friend that he was raised with. Baba hired Ali who happened to be a Hazara as a house helper. Ali and his son lived in a house on the property of Baba. Amir the son of Baba, a selfish jealous child that envied Hassan. The envy and jealousy is demonstrated throught the entire book. An example that is demonstrated in this situation.

“But before you sacrifice yourself for him, think about this could he do the same for you? Have you ever wondered why he never includes you in games when he has guests? Why he only plays with you when no else is around? Ill tell you why, Hazara. Because to him your nothing but an ugly pet. Something that he can play with when he is bored, something he can kick around when he angry. Don’t fool yourself and think you’re something more.” 

(The kite Runner, Page 77)

He was not a friend Amir, but he was something lower than that. Amir became something so low and sorrow. Amir could have decided whether to deny and go against the allegations against him, or accept them. However, Amir Reacted by staying quiet.




Amir had stood in the position before, in the position where he had also noticed his own behavior treating Hassan differently than the other children that he knew and would hang out with. He knew he treated Hassan as something else, and not as a person. Amir stood out greatly in comparison with the others. He had many problems with many people throught the story. Whether Amir argued, accused or with other characters, he always ended in a place where he hurt people. In addition, not only did he have and add weird and mixed emotions to the story but also he acted in ways that many people would disagree and not understand believed to be morally wrong. Amir had mood swings and moments where he contradicted himself and others by speaking or being a traitor to people around him. To the people who he allegedly loved, cared and respected, in ways he could not understand, and could not do the same. When in need of help or having moments of misunderstanding, Amir never went to ask that of people around him in a situation that he did not like to be able comprehend the exact details and their perspective. Amir reacted by zoning out surrounding himself in a bubble away from others. Don’t fool yourself and think you’re something more.” this reveals and demonstrates the feelings and emotions that Amir reveals and is obvious to others including the town’s bully Assef. Amir could not show much if not any respect to others including his family, friends loved ones and himself. The only act that Amir could show to others was that of being a selfish coward and intolerant B*****D.



In what position did Amir stand after heading to America? Was it a mistake that later led to further situations, problems and misfortune in the story. Did Amir and his father Babba’s decisions lead to them having worse problem that they would have had in Kabul Pakistan their homeland? Not only did the move to the United States change the lifestyle for Amir and his father but for others in their hometown including Hassan. Baba began to live and the work with effort to live and earn their money, but not living well enough as compared to what they had in the beginning of the story. Baba was one of the wealthiest people in the land in Kabul, having a big house and a lifestyle to fit the best of the best. Once they arrived in the United States, Baba and Amir had to work very hard in earning all the income that they would be receiving throught their life. In the United States not only did Babba have to work earning income throught the week at a liquor store, but he felt that it was necessary for him to go to earn extra money to survive and live well. Baba decided he would earn that by Amir and him taking extra time to make more income support their lifestyle. The lifestyle of Baba changed dramatically in different ways including those of seeing and interacting with people that he was not accustomed to being with, conversing, and having moments in which they were together. Not only did the change of locations bad for Amir but it affected and changed things for the people that back in hometown Kabul. Those changes were those of life and death.



The last few chapters in the book become very interesting and eye catching the audience and readers. The story became interesting and eye catching in the way that all began to come together and many exiting details for the reader.



Soon after Amir goes back to his hometown of Kabul to meet with another character, he is informed by letter about Hassan’s life’s great detail and how it developed and changed since Amir talked and seen him. Hassan’s life changed and developed dramatically and became different from peoples expectations.



Amir finally wanted to be helpful, take care of Hassan’s child, and make a difference. Amir finally began to feel guilty about what happened to Hassan in the beginning of the story. Amir was trying to build off of the situation and make a relationship with Hassan, one that he could have had. He wanted to redeem himself into not feeling as such a bad person as he felt on the inside. Amir believed it would change his feelings and let the pain and weigh off of his shoulders.



The purpose of Khaled Hosseini’s novel was to be able to reflect on morality and being attentive on actions and result that shape the future that would come and evolve to change the book. This book demonstrates the purpose in many parts of the book, it is incorporated in many parts to help the reader understand clearly and piece the parts of the puzzle. The characters actions and thoughts are very important and are the main part of the book, rather than the detail that comes after. The book’s focus and ideas are meant to be understood and captured from those of people with high maturity and level of understanding.

In the realistic Fiction novel The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, the last few chapters in the book become very interesting and eye catching the audience and readers. The story interesting and eye catching in the way that all that happens rolls up and begins to come together and it is one of the big BOOMS in the story.


Soon after Amir one of the man characters goes back to his hometown of Kabul, he is informed by letter about Hassan another one of the main characters, about his life’s detail and how it changed and developed. Hassan’s life changed and developed into being married with one child named Sohrab. Hassan led to being killed soon after he arrived back into Babba’s house his actual father. Sohrab was then taken into custody by the government and placed into an orphanage with other children.

Soon after Amir became aware of the place where Sohrab had been placed and where he was, Amir wanted to go and search for him. Amir went to the orphanage and was asking for Sohrab, and soon after finding that he was not there he became extremely anxious and was worrying about him. Amir soon became extremely demanding and wanted to know where Sohrab was. Amir learned about the situation that Sohrab was placed in, after being sold and taken from the orphanage. Amir aggravated and questioned for more details about the situation and who had taken Sohrab. Imeadiately after knowing the person who had taken Sohrab was in the coliseum Amir wanted to go in find out to then later rescue him.

Why was it that Amir had finally been placed in the position where he wanted to be helpful and take care of Hassan’s child? Amir finally began to feel guilty about what happened to Hassan and him as a child. Amir was trying to build off of the situation and relationship that he had with Hassan. He wanted to redeem himself into being equal and not feeling as such a bad person as he was thought to be. Distractions in class(TEACHERS)

How do teachers manage to keep track of what people are doing in class? Do teachers have a super powers to they are able to notice the slightest of things that happen? Are people who become teachers trained in paying attention the students and their feelings? What are teacher trained to? Hmmmmmmmmmm lets think, are they just trained in academic classes or in support? What is a teacher supposed to when they see a problem happening in one side of the room while they are teaching? Will they stop teaching and what they are doing and yell across the room to just help and focus on the few students that are in need of help? In some situations, the teachers are the ones that lead to having the distractions! In addition, once they have distracted the class they decided to switch the subject that the whole class was talking about and they blame it on the class! I personally have been in a class where a teacher goes really far out of the topic and what they should be talking about.


What does this do to the class??? Does this help the students listen more to what they are saying since it may be more interesting than what they were normally listening to? Will it lead to the students paying more attention about the class to listen about off-topic subjects and conversate more often? Are the teachers an actual resource that is meant to help lead and tutor the students? On the other hand, a helpful person that comes with many additional things including many stories and way off topic details about something.

Oo I have nothing else to comment or say about this I just wanted to say how teachers are such hypocrites sometimes and they say that we go off topic in their class. We lead to everyone not paying attention to them when they are the one that are talking about something and that later leads to learning about how chairs have four legs= that was an example and not a real thing that we got off topic about. Now that would really be something not worth talking about and that would reflect how much of no lives we are. However, we are not because we did not talk about that. There I am done and way over 350!

I will agree with karen in the part where she stated that people are hating on justin Beiber awesome and the people that will end bringgimng him down in the long run. no one will want to listen to his music and he will go broke and out of money with no job to pay for all of his debts wich include getting his nails done. everyone is now aware that justing beiber goes three times a day everyday to nail shop/salon where he decides to  get his nails cut, sharpened and all of his cuticles removed because he wants to "cool" and not care people care! and he also spend milllions of dollars weekly to gety his hair cut! he goes in to the salon and ask for the 3 year-old girl hair cut! and everyone knows exactly what that looks like!

Umm nobody is forcing their opinions on anyone okay! We have the right to express our opinions about whatever we want. You might not give a damn about him but we do. Just because you don't like him and don't listen to his music, it doesn't mean that the whole world is going to stop this because what you say. quite frankly you should eat your own words because you are not being tolerant yourself were not the ones getting all crazy and angry about the opposing side disagreeing with us. We can argue about Justin Bieber all we want, there is no law or rule stating that we stop. Also, speak for yourself when you say no one cares and your tired of hearing it because no one else is complaining but you. If this bothers you a lot then simply don't read it,it's that easy! I suggest that you don't read the haters and fans of Justin Biebers blogs because your the only one being all dramatic about it. If you don't listen to him thats great for you and if you don't like our little discussions about him then why don't you give it a rest because I honestly it doesn't matter either

2nd book report!

Not only was the change of locations bad for Amir but it was also bad for the people that were back in hometown Kabul. If they (Amir and his Babba) had stayed, the house in Pakistan would be occupied with people in it. If the house was occupied it would not be necessary for Rahim Khan to take care of the house. Rahim Khan felt as if he was not up to the expectations that the house needed to be take care of, so he asked Hassan to help him. Hassan, his wife and their son went to the house and lived there, until they were later attacked. Would Hassan have lived and not gone through pain if Amir and Babba had stayed?

Justin Bieber is too cute!!! Even if you say you hate him and that his voice sounds like a girl,you know that you secretely like him and secretely listen to his music in the room and you sing along with it in the dark. I want to respond to this post to defend all the Beiber HATERS!!!!!! yeah WOOT-WOOT! people have to understand that every celebrity has people that dis-like their signing voice and everything that may have to do with them, including and in this case it would have to be the voice. Justin Beiber has a very weird or i should "interesting?" voice. who would have thought that fifteen year old teenage boy that is a singer would have a deeper voice than my seven year old cousin! What is up with the voice?

another thing that leads to people;e disliking Justin Bieber would have to be that he a very conceited person that believes he can do whatever he wants to do without getting in trouble. For example, in one movie show in which he was showing his "true scenes" of what really goes on in is life he shows how he studies and spends his time. In school he is home schooled and has a personal teacher and assistant and is able to get a "4.0"?? or at least that is what he says. i noticed that while he is in school and is studying he acts like any other immature child would, but the only difference in what an immature child and Justin was that the immature child was about ten and Justin is five years older. during the video in the stime in which he was studying he could not concentrate or stay still.Justin would mess around and stand up and leave without actually staying still and listening.

Facebook is one of the many sites known as social networks where many friends’ family and people join into a website and start to build friendships and is regularly used. facebook nowadays is used by everyone including young children, teens, adults etc. Facebook is one of the most popular website, visited often my many. Facebook in the week of march 16 beat google in becoming the most visited US website money.cnn.com/2010/03/.../facebook_most_visited/ there is outstanding data collected to and from Facebook and of its users. The amount of people using facebook majorly increases daily in the amount of users, male female, and age and countrywide. Male has 62,060,040 which makes up forty-four percent of the population overall. Females are the majority with 790,374,400 making fifty- six percent of the population overall. In addition, the united is leading with in comparison with the other countries; the United States is winning 143,583,400 and Indonesia in running place with 29,844,240 and in the third place the United Kingdom with 28,413,560.

So many people use Facebook in different ways using as it as a tool or just using it for social skill and there also some people as a way to take advantage of others electronically and to harm others. So what is Facebook? Should it be enforced harder and checked more recently for harmful activity that may damage the users? If that does happen will it, contradict and go against the thoughts and the rules made privacy and base on how Facebook was made? Thoughts about, The Kite Runner

In the book, the realistic fiction novel The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini there are many situations and things that happens and are disturbing and make people wonder and think on how to react on what just happened. One of the most shocking and appalling things that happened in the book would have to be the situation in the book in chapter seven where the stories portrays an even of rape to which a young child by other older children.


Another even that took place moments before the rape happened between Amir the son of one of the richest people living in the area and the child of one of his servants, was where true feelings were revealed of the friendship between each other. There were other older teenage kids which were the kids were tormenting and challenging the kids. They made the feelings that Amir had aware to Hassan,“ a loyal hazara. Loyal as a dog.” Assef said.

Kamal’s laugh was a shrill, a nervous sound.

“But before you sacrifice yourself for him, think about this could he do the same for you? Have you ever wondered why he never includes you in games when he has guests? Why he only plays with you when no else is around? Ill tell you why, Hazara. Because to him your nothing but an ugly pet. Something that he can play with when he’s bored, something he can kick around when he angry. Don’t fool yourself and think you’re something more.” Amir was stuck in a controversial position where he was brought out and it could finally be apparent to others of the position where the servants child was in. he was not the friend Amir but he was something lowered that had no name. Amir could have made a decision to decide whether to deny and go against the allegations that had been said against him, or accept and finally tell the truth to his “friend” Hassan.

Amir was had been in this position before, in the position where he had also noticed of his own behavior that he would treat Hassan differently than the other children that he knew and would hang out with. he knew he treated Hassan as something different.

More evidence that could prove the way of how Amir feels about Hassan could be proven during the actual moment of which Hassan was been Raped by the other children. Amir had not made the decision and thoughts of going out to get help and or stop the process of what was happening.

Reflective essay

One of the first assignments that were giving to us in the beginning of English class was to be able to create a blog and write two posts weekly. The process of writing blog is Incorporated by having favorite and least favorite topics and posts, growing from feedback and responses from others and process of revisions; going from rough draft to a final. Within writing that post, we would have to reflect and respond to someone else’s post. Getting used to writing on a regular basis is a difficult thing. Many people are not accustomed to writing as much as the assignments. However, one of the goals that Mr. Sutherland my school’s English teacher wanted to give us was to be able to get used to writing for a long period of time (timed writing) and writing more often as well.




As I student in middle school, I was never accustomed to writing regularly, but by the assignments that are asked of us I am beginning to get more comfortable and have improved in small ways in my writing. The quick writes are small ways that helped me understand to try to cut back and focus more writing since we have a subject and we have to write for ten minutes without stopping. I have learned to try to structure my writing in ways that are simple but make very important changes in the writing, which help the reader, understand what they are reading.



The feedback from the class/audience has helped me in many ways since its constructive feedback that they may give for me to use. When writing the feedback the audience usually focuses on the subject, and what I have to think and say, but in few cases, they write about a question that was unclear to them and their thoughts that made it hard to understand what they were reading. By seeing some of my mistakes that were apparent in writing, I can reflect on how I should be changing and progressing.



In reviewing the posts on the blog that I have done I noticed that many of the subjects that my writing was relating to were to topics that had no point what so ever to situations that were happening in the moment. Rather I was writing about my thoughts about situations and ideas that are unappealing to the audience, which led to less reviews and responses from others. “The story is about a Native American teenager that lives on a small Spokane reservation, becoming aware of the contrast: favoritism of white people and the low self-esteem of Indians.” A goal that would help to bring my thoughts to be reviewed I will begin to think out of the box and step out of my comfort zone for the topics and ideas in which I write about, to more eye balling subjects.



In reading and responding the posts from other people, I was able to come up with that many people wrote about their person feelings and thoughts about a topic rather than something that happened to them or something that they have see. Those are my favorite types of posts that I enjoy reading. I like to read and get informed about how a person strongly feels about something that they notice. For example, one student had written about how they despise males who decide to sag meaning wear bottoms pants or shorts lower than expected at the waist. When someone is usually sagging, they are showing part of their behind and their underwear to everyone that passes by and notices. The student was wondering why the males had decided to sag and wear their jeans low and they also decided to wear a belt holding the pants at a level down near to their behind. the student also speaks about how peoplet generalize how a certain race should dress.http://aleahbaaqee.blogspot.com/Not only is the topic interesting in a strange way, but also it allows the writer to express their deep feeling about the community and their actions. Another, topic that I came across that was interesting and that many people responded and had thoughts about was that of a story writing about love. One of the major steps in the process in writing that is to be done after the work of thinking of ideas and noting them down, is revision. revisions to a paper are the part that add and help the paper to become better it the ways in which they customize and rewrite parts that mislead the reader. another word for revising a paper is polishing, polishing makes the essay and writing better, bumping it to another level. Throughout the quarter and or year when creating my posts on the blog I did not begin to reread what I had written to check for any mistakes that makes them unclear. Some mistakes that I have now realized that I had done included; spelling, grammar, redundancy, and misleading the audience and making the central point clear within the writing.



Writing is one of the many things that can never be perfected, to a person’s view and perspective of what they are writing about in a paragraph, post and or essay. As a student writing is a difficult thing that I have to be adjusted to, and being able to do it on a daily basis. A goal that would help me and my writing to improve would be giving the reader more to work with and being straightforward, to be able to understand the main ideas. By taking away unnecessary details and topics that, lead the reader to a different approach on their understanding of the topic. To guide the reader in a way to understand may also include changing what I am choosing as subject, to something that I am more familiar with and that I could able stay consistent. Rather than choosing something that is important and irrelevant t, I will begin to choose more out of the ordinary topics that may provoke the reader to want to read and respond.

Lunch

Lunch today (October 22, 2010) STARBUCKS: It was cold and i wanted to starbucks! Therefore, Colin, Eric and I were like let us go. b then, Eric was like: "i have no money" i said : "oo its cool ill buy you something" were on our way there and Colin was like "you should buy the flavored water its good and its really cheap" Eric "was like oo i guess" we get to starbucks and Colin orders his Venti peppermint chocolate, i order my Grande hot chocolate and my cranberry scone. Colin and I were like "oo Eric orders your drink" he was like "yeah."




So he orders like water with raspberry flavoring which happened to be 50cents. The dude looks at him funny and tells the girl who does the drinks. When the girl who does the drinks saw the order she had the funniest face ever and so she gives me and Colin our drinks and Eric was waiting. She laughed to herself and she decided to ask, “I’m curious why you want water with the flavoring?"



Eric starts to get nervous and red, me and Colin laugh so hard and she kept asking and she saw me and Colin laughing and she asked, "are you guys playing a trick on him?" we responded "no" and she asked “so why did you guys order this? What does it taste like have you gotten it?" Colin responded:"yeah, i have it taste pretty good and its cheap." and she responds "oo so you are going for the cheap. (Laughing while she said it,)" mean while all this happens Eric was in the corner all red and embarrassed and me and Colin were laughing after all the lady decided to hook Eric up with a raspberry lemonade because she felt bad.



Colin and I were laughing so hard and Eric was embarrassed. This is a day to remember, and of course the starbuck's lady will remember since it was the first syrup water she ever TRIED to do! Its so funny how she felt bad and he was so embarrassed!

The Central Conflict in the Story

The central conflict in the realistic fiction Novel, “Of Mice and Men,” by John Steinbeck most of the conflict in the story is based on the society and the ignorance of people. Lennie one of the two main characters in the story is mentally disabled and in many cases has troubles and is need of help from the other character in the story named George. In his early childhood stages, Lennie had an accident with a horse and soon became disabled. Lennie was in the care of his aunt Clara, and when she passed away, George was the only left and by the side of Lennie. George was forced to be the Parent figure for him and to take care of him. There was no other person that Lennie could take turn to and have a similar or equal relation, like with George The society and people have no consideration for people that are mentally disabled and have difficulties. Whose fault is it that no other family member could take an importance for Lennie? Who should be for the blame?

Many people were not as aware and considerate on how to be able to live and be with someone that has some mental disability, and the great depression added to that and was a factor. Not only were people not willing to share and have lives with people because they were in a hole where they did not have sufficient materials and money for people to support each other. “Well, I never seen one guy takes so much trouble for another guy. I just like to know what your interest is.” George said, “He’s my . . . cousin. I told his old lady id take care of him. he got kicked in the head by a horse he was a kid. He’s awright. just ain't bright. but he can do anything you tell him.” Of Mice and Men, page 22. During the time and era that they lived in the people were not used to seeing someone take care of others for no apparent reason. in this situation and case George was the person that was in the care of Lennie, and that was only because Lennie could not take care of himself and there was no other person that Lennie could count on. In order not to look and stand out, George had to make the decision of making a lie and explaining that he was Lennie's cousin. People could not understand what was the reason for someone to want to have someone beside them to aid and help the.

People’s reaction and interactions with people with disabilities change and they are unable to comprehend that they are different in some ways, including on how they think and may react. “That big son-of-a bitch done it. I know he done it. why-ever’body else was out there playin’ horseshoes.” After Lennie had made a mistake and had take someone’s life and people had found out they were unable to understand what could have happened and reacted in a way instead of coming to a conclusion and learning more about the situation and react in a way that made things worse for everybody. Curly reacted by cursing and not being able understand. In addition, the people had not take the proper care and precaution that was needed to be able to understand what would happen and could happen in a situation similar to that of which happened. The people and the group had no way to understand and know what to do with the situation.

In the final pages of the book, there was a crowd of people chasing after Lennie after the incident with the death of Curly’s wives death. They wanted to punish and kill Lennie since he had taken the life of somebody. People had no other way or thoughts on how to be able to solve the situation. “He pulled the trigger. The crash of the shot rolled up the hills and rolled down again.” There was someone that was going to take the life of Lennie, and it was his friend who had decided to take it for him. He believed that it would be better for him to kill than for someone to just decide to kill him. He wanted his friend to peacefully die.

John Steinbeck 1937 "of mice and men" the struggle had finally come to a but not in the way that they were hoping and wanted to and planned. They had planned that George and Lennie would be able to free of people the money and any other issues by being able to reach an amount of money and buying and or having a farm and being separated from the rest of the other people. The struggles and discrimination that was coming from and towards the people with mental disabilities has not changed and not gone forward in many steps.

Like many people Qfwfq, is not of those people that forget things in a very simple manner having no need for time to get over anything. They do not forget the bad things that happen to them. Lll had just gone and met with Qfwfq’s uncle; N’ba N’ga and spending together having fun. “Instead we went on seeing each other going together and lagoon episode was never mentioned. I was still uneasy: it was no use my trying to persuade myself she had forgotten; every no and then I suspected she was remaining silent ...” (The Aquatic Uncle, by Italo Calvino Page 77) this explains and demonstrates that Qfwfq is very judgmental and finds himself thinking the worse and thinking that people are always after someone and that things always end up being bad and reflecting towards someone.



People set their mind to something and forget about many other things and do not care or give importance of the other things that reflect around the world they are in anyway. “ That was about the time that u fell in love with Lll and I spent our days together chasing each other; no one as quick as she had ever been before; in the ferns, which were as tall as trees in those days…”...”(The Aquatic Uncle, by Italo Calvino Page 74). This demonstrates that Qfwfq is the type of person that dedicates everything to a specific subject that dedicates his time and effort into what he is doing and or loves to do. He does not care or sees what else may be important to them, they have set their mind to think and care much about the other things around anything are in this time.

They have them become separate in a way having someone else in the relationship that was already in the family. They all had something, I know that made them somehow superior to me, in a sublime something that made me compared to them mediocre. (The Aquatic Uncle, by Italo Calvino Page 82). The situation hurt and moved Qfwfq in a weird way but Qfwfq could not do

The absoloute Diary of a part Time Indian

                In the book, The Absolute True Diary of a Partime Indian, the author Sherman Alexie believes that the society gives more importance to whites than any other race, leading to many problems in the society. The story is about a Native American teenager that lives on a small Spokane reservation, becoming aware of the contrast: favoritism of white people and the low self-esteem of Indians. The event takes place between junior and his friend Gordy at Reardan High School, a small town near Spokane. Students at Reardan are provided with the recourses while upholding and having the goal of succeeding, unlike the Native Tribal School, which Junior attended in the past. Students at Wellpinit are not giving the materials to succeed in school, while also being put down and compared to whites. They have internalized the appalling stereotypes and lost hope.

Gordy discussed the flaws and how corrupt people are to those that are not American. For example, when an American young woman had gone missing in a Mexican forest, The United States spent thousands of dollars trying to find her.  “Well this article said that over two hundred Mexican girls have disappeared in the last three years in that same part of the country. And nobody says much about that. And that’s racist. The guy who wrote this says people care more about beautiful white girls than they do about everybody else in the planet. White girls are privileged.” – Gordy the quote illustrated the point because it proved that it is ware event some of those that have not yet experienced, being put down, humiliated or forgotten because of their ethnicity. There is a major imperfection in the way that people are treated and it needs to be resolved. There should be no excuse, this country is known for giving equal rights and treating everybody equally, and we are not upholding that.

The problem affects people internally leaving people traumatized, and losing self-confidence. They believe that they are worth nothing and questioning why they should go college if they are incapable to succeeding in life. It may also lead to worse and serious consequences. For example, Juniors Grandmother was ran over and killed by a drunk driver who was drinking away his problems covering them and making them worse. Another example, Eugene one of Juniors friend was shot in the face and killed while intoxicated. Juniors Grandmother had never drank before, Eugene had been sober and straitening his life, but I little slip up of a person drinking away their problems caused those deaths. The problem has led to addictions of alcohol and of illegal substances, leaving them unaware and less likely to know what action they are committing, either suicide, murder or vulnerable to health diseases. There are several consequences leading from the favoritism and racism that are aware to the author. No life should be thought less of because of who their personality and ethnic background.

            Unnecessary and cruel things are happening in societies related to the killing of young children. In China, there is a law that prohibits people from having more than one child. The government decided to make that law because of the population of people increasing in the world. 1/5 of the population increasing in the world is just from China.

            If people make the decision to have more than one child, the government will tax and fine them. Some people, even though they are going to be fined, they have made the choice to have more than one child. Their decision to have a boy and a girl sometimes does not turn out and they have two girls. People in China prefer to have a boy instead of a girl because they will have to give their fortune not to their daughter but to their husband. When they have two girls, they decide to commit an unnecessary and cruel crime they, kill one of them.
            Murder is a bad crime that is should not justified for anyone. If murder is not justified for adults, why should it be justifiable for infants who cannot defend themselves? Murder is usually committed by ruthless people of whom they do not trust. Murder also should not be committed by their own parents, doctors or anyone. Just because people decide that, they want to have a boy when having a baby does not mean it will happen. There is only a 50% chance that a boy might be born. If people do decide to have a baby they should take, responsibility and take care for the child not kill it even though it is not the gender they choose. It is not the child’s fault so why should they be punished? When people murder other people, they are arrested for what they did. If any parent kills their baby, they should be punished for what they did and should suffer a punishment. Infanticide should not be treated lightly it is a major problem that the world suffers; an attempt to resolve it will make a better world for  us.

For guys. Things are not very sunny either. Girls are constantly breaking guy's hearts. We feel it is a way to get back at them. Alternatively, most of the time, they are not up to your standards. It is a horrible thing for guys to find out but they are better at covering their feeling then girls are. So therefore, you just want to love someone without having feelings because if you do, then you know you will most likely end up broken hearted.

Well Karen, and I had started this conversation about a while ago, so I would basically would like to my full on perspective to it and talk about what Rokhsor wrote about the original Quote/post.


At that moment that i gave my opinion and thought to Karen, I had been in a weird and difficult position. where i had "seen /and was seeing” how difficult a relationship could be and i was reflecting on the actual meaning and the feelings of that mysterious and "DUMB" word called LOVE. When being in the middle and seeing how a relation of people could turn out and reflecting on what has happened in the past with people and also the conversation i had in the past, I believed that it would be the best thing to be able to connect and help Karen understand my position. and everyone can and will have their position and will be in their place where they stand. everything depends on who a person is and who they meet and are in a relationship with.



Their many things that people do that damage many people and in many ways. for example, people getting back at each other as Rokhsor explained. that is a great example of how people intentionally hurt and damage other for a reason, a reason that makes no sense. that is an action that is not necessary but is always bound to happen and it always does in many places and in relationships; between friends, people dating ect.

Why is it that many decide to hurt somebody rather than taking a more reasonable approach instead of taking a route where a friendship gets involved, where people get hurt and something always goes wrong in any little way that later results in bigger damage? CAN PEOPLE CONTROL THEIR ACTIONS BEFORE DOING SOMETHING AND LATER REGRETTING THE BIG AND HORRIBLE MISTAKE THAT THEY JUST COMMITTED? WHY IS SO DIFFICULT TO THINK BEFORE ACTING AND SPEAKING?! Many people do not have that in control and can’t think before they act. Proof of this is all the mistakes that someone has int heir life, that they later regret and find it to be a mistake that they could have avoided!

As many people agree suicide is not the correct choice to terminate problems, it is not going to improve things. It is only going to make things worse. It is a shortcut and it proves that not all shortcuts are always the greatest way to go.

People are not going to fix their problems, the only thing people are going to damage themselves. They only terminate their life, and only end everything they owned, had and what they worked on for their whole life. Why end life now? There is no reason to end life when it is not necessary. People can fix the problems and go to therapy.

As anyone would, people have many problems throughout their life. They were able to go through their challenges and learn from them. Do not let a little problem people think is large take over and finish their life. Another reason, not to commit suicide is that it is unhealthy. It is unhealthy for the people that commit it and for the people around them. When someone commits suicide, the people that loved them are torn. When people who commit suicide they end their problems but they make new ones for their loved ones. People should choose an alternative way to solve their problems. For example, a way to fix their problems is to go to a psychologist so they can talk with someone who can help them. Solve the problems out in a way that is safe for you and others. People should try to deal with their problems quickly, before they become bigger. Even though people think that they are suffering, suicide does not end the problem, it only ends their life. Suicide is not the right choice, it is not satisfying in any way or for any reason, choose a safer and an alternative way to fix with problems.

Now a days many teens are having problems because of the society that they are living in. many things in a persons environment need to be changed and cause many problems for the people that live in them. For teens many problems get in their way and one of the only approach is to end te problem that they are having. And the way that people do that is by ending their lives. A community should have more resources for the teens in their.

Keeping Up

When you start something new you feel like you want to get it over with as quickly as possible.  Instead of the goals that you should have, you develop completely new goals based on what you want, not what is best for you.  Here at ASTI, I feel that I have done this over my first month.  I realise that I have only been focused on keeping my personal life as normal as possible, as my grades drop to a point where I have never seen them before.  Now it is time for me to make a decision, education, or fun.  Of course I choose education, but how long will it be until I forget about my friends, my memories and my life.  I thought I was working hard, but now I see that simply doing your homework quickly isn't the same as working hard.  I am willing to make the sacrifices necessary to get to the point that I need to be at.  I am sure it will be hard, but it is nothing that I can't do.

i am responding to Sam's post! sam had some ideas  and stated some things that caught my attention and i may have related to what he sed. sam sed that he had gotten into the babit of getting into his personal life rather than going tinto his academic life. sams grade increasingly dropped and they are in a low number, such a low number that he nhad not seen before

The reason for having a low number resulted from being in a personal life, and also because ASTI is a different school and may be differentt and he may not be accustomed to the assignments and the material that he has never seen before. as this may have happened to other peiople, it is a comon thing for the people tjat are switching to a different school, a high school that is difficult and that is supposed to prepare people for college. 

an example of this, i have also fallen, i was a straight 4.0 student sine the beginning of middle school to the end. i gratuated VAledictorian of my middle school, and now beggining high school in Alameda?ASTI i have not been well prepared, most of the material that we are learniing i have not learned that has led to me styruggling and having to work harder.

Can and or does a person ever waste too much of that green little paper that everyone calls MONEY? does this simple little question ever come to a persons mind, when they are at a store or a mall or a boutique when they are purchasing something? The odds are that most people actually don’t and just care and pay attention to what they are purchasing rather than buying their items based on the amount that it costs. Many people in this society are addicted to buying things every week and or day and in other dates.

Shouldn’t people waste more money more important needs rather than on purchasing clothes? A person goes into debt by buying many clothe a great amount rather than buying more food or other household necessities. Why is that reason?

When a person enters a store they become a different person, and everything in their mind is set to buy things and add many things to their closet. Ann addict may waste from a range of $150 and sooooo on they can go on forever. And the sad thing about people that are making the purchase is that they are not making their purchase with their own money, they would rather use their Credit Card!  So many people are in a large amount of debt because of  Credit Card purchases made from buying clothes.  People do not know how to control themselves and their urges for wasting money. many people buy a bulk amount of clothing but also they waste a greater amount because they would rather spend it on brand name clothing instead of same material clothes that are cheaper. Wouldn’t it make more sense to buy more clothes that are cheaper that would average the same amount of buying a lower amount of brand name clothing?

I took this quote from Luis’s blog because I feel as if this may be an important part in the society and of one of the subjects that may be touchy and some people will find to be difficult and hard to deal with because of many people’s opinions and their point of view. This subject of graphitti is a hard to deal with topic in the bay area and many other areas in United states of America. There has been many centuries in which people have been doing this and people have been trying to stop it but it is too strong to stop and or control.




In urban art, there are some rules. Some rules are like: no tagging on churches or places of worship; no tagging cars or houses; no going over someone who is a lot better than you unless its beef; do not tag your personal property (except of course black books and such); no tagging over murals or memorials; and do not tag on schools. The people who do not follow these rules are not considered writers, and those are the people that give urban art a bad name. Writers are in risk of many things. They could be arrested, jumped, robbed, or killed, but they still pursue to do what they like to do, paint. I think that is pretty determined to do what they do



This quote is very texting and many people can and will either agree or disagree for many reasons. it just depends on a person view and on personal experiences that someone may have had in the past.

An example of people who will disagree on people being able to paint a create graphitti AKA art to some, are the people that have been hurt or have been affected in any way. With graffiti either by having some on their house work business or simply by being a concerned citizen who does not enjoy and find graffiti to be a good thing to be found on the walls of buildings and places in a city. They believe that it may make their city and their own private property look dirty, which may not reflect their personality and their feelings. Many people cannot control the way that people act and the way and “passion” and or “habit” and or “impulse” of creating things on walls just for the purpose of making art.

Some people will have to argue that there many reason for which paper was made. Paper was made not only to be written on but also to be drawn on which will be a better and simpler way to create the art that someone one will want to make. Another, tool and material that was made was canvas to be painted on in any way that a person will think of. It may be better because a person is not limited to the graphic nature and the writing that they would like to place on it.

Internet; Resource or addiction?

It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope that are linked by a broad array of electronic and optical networking technologies - Wikipedia

The internet can be seen and used in many different ways more ways than a person could count or even think of. Many people use the internet as a resource in which is very helpful, since the internet provides a place and space where people can get help in many subjects and topics. Not only can the internet do that, but it can do anything that you may wish and want it to do, it just depends on how people decide to use it and what they do with it.

         Even tough the internet can be very resourceful not everyone see uses and is able to use it as for that reason. Many people would rather take advantage of it and use it for personal use of content that may not be suitable for everyone that could see it, since many things and everything can be posted on the internet. There is so much content, that should not be at the tip of a finger since anyone could be able to access it and view, receive and do anything with information that should not be there.                                                    

            Another way that the internet is in use now a days is that they are incorporated in many ways and connections to schools offices and business. Many teachers make and incorporate their ideas towards their day and how they teach. Whether the teacher shows a presentation, in a slide show or have their plans and writing on the computer and show them on the screen. Another new and big that thing that is happening in the new schools and colleges now a day is a lot of emailing and basically just classes and assignments happening in the web/internet. A great example, of incorporating internet into a class is this assignment. The internet is a great and helpful resource to the teacher and the students that are able to use and see the work that is created through the screen and URL that are provided for use of learning.

Obviously, teen pregnancy is a problem in the United States. And the following statistics back that up:

Every year around 750,000 teenagers will get pregnant.


Depending on the state, teenage birth rates are incredibly different. Nevada has the highest rate: 113 per 1000 and North Dakota the lowest 42 per 1000.

Unmarried teenagers having children account for 24 percent of all unmarried expectant mothers.

More than 2/3 of all teenagers who have a baby will not graduate from high school.

Billions of dollars are spent taking care of teenage mothers and their children and they are more likely to be in the poverty bracket.

But at the end of the day if a child is depressed there going to kill themselves any way, so wouldn’t you not want to put them through there misery. So if killing a baby is bad don’t you think putting a child through abuse or foster system would be just as bad ?

- Not only are the people that are mostly receiving abortion are middle age woman that have not take the proper care that they should have to be able to prevent the pregnancy in the beginning instead of getting pregnant and then later on deciding to abort the baby. There should be no reason for having more trouble and killing a baby that had no reason in which they lost their life. A person has no feeling and any sense of wat a person may feel within themselves and in the community and environment that they live in. their are resources and opportunities that a person has to be able to deal with problems and the feelings that they are having. not only are their psychological resources but resources for a person, such as free housing and food stamps and other needs that aid a person and help the enviroment in which their child may live in! their is no reason in which a person should havwe to resort to killing a baby!

Abortion Do's n' Don'ts

Well abortion is a pretty touchy subject that has many different views, that people decide to have. On the point that i have, i feel as if abortion is wrong and unnecessary unless of rape and  incest. Not only will pain be brought to the mother but usually it is also brought to the fetus! As stated by the University of San Francisco, fetus can feel pain inflected by the 12 week of pregnancy. What reasons and right  does a mother who put themselves in a position to get pregnant have to kill a baby? There should be no reason!

Usually pretty girls are the popular ones.I was friends with one of the popular girls back then and you know they are selfish,conceited, and come with attitude.Popular girls believe that they should bring other people down to make themselves feel like they are on top of the world.There was a time where one of my friends,the popular one,we were just walking around the school when she saw a girl that was sitting by herself,and she decided to go up to her and started to make fun of her asking her why she is ugly,why she is a loner,why she is talking to someone else's boyfriend,and etc.At that point i felt bad for her because she was constantly being made fun of and because i should have told my friend to leave her alone and should have stood up for her.In this situation my options were to help her and stand up for her and actually lose one of my friends or I can stay quiet and not say anything.It is my belief that people bully others because it makes the bully feel good, something that happened to them in the past and they want to let their anger out on someone,they have problems at home currently,they don't like that person,and it is for revenge.I believe they want to hurt their peers because they can see how vulnerable they are and how easily they can bring then down.Sometimes they do it because other people do it,they just want to feel cool,or they feel like they are tough.

This quote shows that , a person has to be strong and ,make decisions that help anyone even, if it is a person that we do not know or hang out with. being bullied is a serious and difficult thing that people go through. for the girl that was constantly being bullied, she did not need the extra amount of hurtful words. even though Christy did not react and or respond the the problem at the moment she was able to analyze and bring out what she did wrong and how she should have fixed it. which makes her as almost strong as if she confronted her friend bullying another.

These ten things are important for an letting people in, accepting, being tolerant, and having an experience at school feeling safe and secure in a learning environment. No one should be bullied for any reason especially because they are different or people are unaccustomed to them.  These rules, were made to be follow and are expectations that should be held up and important and necessary to school.

The Flight of the Iguana: The Face of a Spider

Everybody and everything is different and many complex ways, whether it would be by looks, personality, feelings ect. , in simple words, nobody will ever be exactly the same or perfect. Every person is accustomed to and used to different things, whether they learned and were familiarized by their family or their own beliefs and thoughts. There will always be situations throughout life where as people we will be unaccustomed to something, a place or a person’s view and how they may look and seem to us. However, we have to learn not to treat a person differently than the people that we may know. We will have to learn to change our or hard and hating ways to appreciate and see distinctive things and people as exclusive and unique. As the author David Q., explains he didn’t decide to kill and end the life of the spider, instead he decided to let its life go on and see it as something that deserves to live rather than anything less. Even though he, had killed and or squashed several other spiders and bugs before throught his life, he decided to make a change and decided that it was not necessary and let the spider remain in its home, which was David’s office desk. The author made somewhat of a metaphor with the spider and himself and he is trying to make a comparison to demonstrate to people that, even thought things and people may be different, look different and may not have many similarities with each other. People should not judge the things by what is on the outside, but rather with is in the heart and their feelings and after you are able to know them. A person finding themselves in a position with new experiences with life, food, religion, should be able to find themselves giving effort to try to understand something that is different and new, rather than blocking it out.

Guns, Germs and Steel

I believe that people that are able to recognize and analyze many things in the community in which they live in and see that there is a great difference among where they live and other parts of the world. Many people that sight the and notice the differences will all usually be able to understand and comply with the thought that the differences are because of the environment and the main resources the land is provides. The United States the health insure problem and high cost for medical treatment is a huge problem, while different countries among other lands offers free or low cost medical treatment to all its citizens. Cuba is an example, of a country that is giving free or low cost health insurance. While Cuba may be giving healthcare, it has less resources given to its citizens, less educational and job opportunities. No country is perfect! This statement means many things to the bay area and to our community. Living in Oakland, a place where many people are killed, decreasing amount of officers, difficult places to get an education and many other things that play a big role in why Oakland has less resources compared to other borderline cities. This took place because people did not take importance to how Oakland would look and what happened in city, people did not make the change in the time where it was necessary.

Odd Girl Out: The Hidden Culture of Aggression in Girls

Their has always been many situations in schools, were groups of people make cliques, and somebody is left out and feels out casted . Unfortunately, I have been on both sides. Both sides feel awkward and uncomfortable in many different ways. When been on the side of an alliance or group and others are left out and feel out of place, I began to remember and feel what is the feeling of not having a friend and somebody that is next to you, and will help you when in need. In some ways it reminded me of the times that I was on the other side. While being on the other side, left out I would just feel out of place and in some ways lonely and very uncomfortable, not necessarily depressed or frustrated but just having a peculiar feeling. People bully others for several reasons. A reason that may lead a person to bully someone, is being bullied at a young age and building up aggression, and finding a point and finally deciding to let it out by hurting and making others feel bad. The bully wants to show others the feeling and pain that they had and felt when they were being bullied. Another reason, that may lead to making a person becoming a bully is not having a healthy environment, either at school or at home and they may find themselves not receiving the proper attention that they feel that they deserve. By becoming a bully and hurting someone and acting out in class it will lead to people and teachers around them to paying more attention to them and they will feel better knowing, people know who they are.
